Hanamkonda, August 22, 2026 – The United Voters Social Foundation, a national civic and democratic institution, has submitted a representation letter to District Education Officer, Hanamkonda demanding immediate mandatory counselling and awareness programs in all schools following the brutal murder of school principal Smt. Roopa Reddy.
Calling the incident an “alarm stage for society,” UVSF National Convenor Dr. Dilep Rao N condemned the killing of the Nalgonda principal by two Class 10 students for cash, in which they stabbed her 27 times.
The UVSF demanded structured emotional health counselling, anger management training, and values education for students, along with strict district-wide guidelines for teacher safety reporting mechanisms.
“We stand ready to extend full support to government departments in implementing these critical safety protocols,” Dr. Rao stated. The foundation urged the District Education Officers to issue directives without delay to prevent further tragedies.
