Dr. SK Althaf Hussain Basha has been holding the position of Principle at Rishi MS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women in Hyderabad as a dedicated and renowned scholar in the field of computer science. Dr. Basha acquired an M. Sc., M. Tech., and Ph. D. in Computer Science and in the course of his work experience has focused on nurturing technological skills among’ students and readiness of the students to embrace the dynamic nature of the field of technology.
His contribution in the field of academic is evident in that Dr. Basha has presented more than ninety six papers which have received recognition through Professional bodies at the international and national level in conferences and journals. Still, his expertise is clear in his scholarly works and further evidenced by his ability to perform the tasks of a reviewer in the following journals like JIKM, IJGUC, IJEDR, JETIR, IJCRT, BPJ, JARHE and IRE present journals.
All these activities are in line with his goal and desire to uphold the highest professionalism within the academic fraternity. Beside, Dr. Basha has received 64 Google Scholar citations and worked for a Minor Research Project under the grant given by UGC-MRP. It does not stop at being an author; he has also been engaged in management of numerous internationals conferences and also management of workshops and staff development programs meant to support the improvement of educational practice.
Membership in various professional bodies like CSI, IFERP, IEI, IETE, IACSIT, CSTA, FSF, IAENG, EAI, SDIWC, TERA, and IEEE also show his interest to develop the technology education. His main areas of interest include Data Mining & Data Warehousing, AI & DS, ML & ANNs & Fuzzy, & DBMS. It enables him to be a good advisor to his students especially in all their academic endeavours.
As one serving in the advisory committee for several prestigious conferences and journal and as an editor of several international journals currently, Dr. Basha has a great responsibility for determining the future trajectory of research within computer science fields. He has the added advantage of having one year industrial experience coupled with 24 years of teaching experience for guiding two PhD. scholars while supervising another two—he acts as a scholar who is genuinely committed to do all one could to make a student succeed.
