
The 30th annual day celebration of the Sri Kuchipudi Dance Academy, held at the prestigious Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad, was a momentous occasion that highlighted three decades of dedication to preserving and promoting the rich tradition of Kuchipudi dance. Dr. Vimala Neelam, the esteemed Founder and Director of the academy, proudly reflected on this milestone, stating, “In the last 30 years, we have nurtured thousands of skilled dancers who are now performing throughout the world.” This achievement is not solely hers; she emphasized that it is a collective success made possible by supportive parents who have shown unwavering interest in keeping this Indian tradition alive

Notable dignitaries attended as chief guests, including Member of Parliament Etla Rajender and Member of the Standing Committee on Chemicals and Fertilizers. As they inspired young Kuchipudi dancers and their families to carry on preserving these treasured customs for future generations, their presence served as a reminder of the value of cultural preservation. They were joined by other notable visitors, including Dr. Aishwarya, Chairman of TNR Schools, and Dr. B. Ramchander Rao, Chairman of ICAS, who all helped to create an environment full of pride in Indian heritage.

A special performance by volunteers and mothers of young dancers that celebrated Battukamma Telanana flower festival dance was one especially captivating highlight.
In addition to providing entertainment, this special presentation demonstrated Dr. Vimala Neelam’s dedication to using dance to teach her students and their families the value of cultural celebrations.
Heartwarming moments occurred as the event came to an end and Dr. Vimala Neelam and the main guests gave mementos to all 150+ kids who had done incredibly well during the day.
